Talk:Rooney and Ferguson face inquiry over unsightly language

Latest comment: 14 years ago by Tempodivalse in topic Category

Should quotation be altered, even slightly and for "cleanliness", in a news piece?

You can put [sic] in for horrid grammar or use the same to insert omitted words where its omission makes the quote near-incomprehensible. Otherwise, stick what you're looking to do here on the talk page and see what other people can come up with. --Brian McNeil / talk 22:13, 17 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

Is unsightly the correct word? unsightly - Unpleasant or offensive to look at. Maybe ugly or unbecoming or tasteless?

"unsightly" edit

"offensive language and conduct" puts it better, i think.

i think "Ferguson and Rooney were pushed to their limits of patience", and "temper boiled" should be toned to be more "neutral"/"objective". Doldrums 10:34, 19 January 2006 (UTC)Reply
