I don't get it. Not one single person is claiming it is anything other than the IRA. Blood Red Sandman (Talk) (Contribs) 15:33, 22 November 2009 (UTC)
- Who don't call themselves terrorists. If you want to use "terrorist", you have to get someone else to say it, and attribute it to them. --Brian McNeil / talk 15:46, 22 November 2009 (UTC)
- Ah, point taken. Is the IRA acronym well enough known for the title? Blood Red Sandman (Talk) (Contribs) 15:50, 22 November 2009 (UTC)
- I think that's a given, but who says it's the IRA should be how it's done. --Brian McNeil / talk 15:53, 22 November 2009 (UTC)
- Sorry for making the title even longer, but an unqualified "IRA" is almost always taken to refer to the w:Provisional Irish Republican Army, whilst the people claimed to be responsible here are splinter groups of that. I know the eTaiwan source uses "IRA", but they also have "NIreland" in their headline! the wub "?!" 16:37, 22 November 2009 (UTC)

- I really wish I'd just called them dissidents in the first place... Blood Red Sandman (Talk) (Contribs) 16:39, 22 November 2009 (UTC)
- Nah. With the new title we get to associate them with the American Republicans. :P --Brian McNeil / talk 16:40, 22 November 2009 (UTC)
- Yeah, dissidents is good but I didn't want to look like I was copying the BBC! the wub "?!" 16:42, 22 November 2009 (UTC)
