It's "Valerie Plame".

What is? Please, if you see a mistake in an article, don't post about it here - just fix it yourself! Dan100 (Talk) 10:16, 16 July 2005 (UTC)Reply
Dan, the person did fix it themself. -Edbrown05 10:24, 16 July 2005 (UTC)Reply
  • Bush's nickname for Rove is "turd blossom" (a flower that grows in a pile of cowshit). Ya gotta admit, our christian leader has his moments. The one Hunter Thompson uncovered about Bush branding a classmate in the back while Bush's cronies held him face down on the ground is one of my personal favorites;

much of the information in this article is false and/or misleading.

for instance, the nondisclosure agreement makes it a crime (a violation of a contract) to confirm a covert agent's identity regardless of whether or not you knew that the agent was covert. (that is, by "negligence") that's the whole point of this story. ht nondisclosure agreement also lists punitive actions that "must be taken" when a person violates the agreement.

also, an CIA agent's identity is classified until five years after their last covert operation. the question is not whether valerie was covert agent at the time of disclosure, but whether her identity was classified information - and therefore whether valerie had been a covert agent in the past five years.

i'm sure there's more. those are just a few. Kevin Baastalk 18:35, 16 July 2005 (UTC)Reply

The story does appear too Karl Rove specific, which indeed it is because he is under direct attack over the Plame case and waging his own (what I considered) disinformation campaign. Oh those POV's. I'm sure it can be 'neutralized'! -Edbrown05 19:05, 16 July 2005 (UTC)Reply
  • I am disappointed that the Wikinewsies in hand did not observe the massive amounts of finger pointing in this article. I'm marking this as NPOV since no one has taken a jab at making it less POV. --Mrmiscellanious 04:32, 17 July 2005 (UTC)Reply

I did more work to NPOV. If now what is meant by "finger pointing" is the headline, note that it cannot be changed. The lead Waxman nondisclosure agreement is sorta outta know where to me and needs context. The rest of the article I believe is fairly neutral now. Let's try now to be specific about what needs changing. I think the AP reporting on the Wilson interview was good stuff. -Edbrown05 15:11, 17 July 2005 (UTC)Reply
