Sorry, can't figure out how to add images from Wikipedia. Can someone point me at the right docs? VikOlliver 01:32, 1 Feb 2005 (UTC)

You can't use images off wikipedia with the Image tag. The picture has to be on wikicommons for it to work here. I did the same thing a few days ago. Download the image off wikipedia then upload it to wikicommons. It's easy, but you need to make an account on the site. vlsimpson 02:35, 1 Feb 2005 (UTC)

I have studied the video several times myself as captured from the television and it appears to show the launch of two missiles (the black smoke from the first can be seen as the second launches) and then a distinct cut to an obscured surface explosion followed by the footage of wreckage on the ground. At no point on the videos can I observe a 'large aircraft' in flight or being hit. Hence I removed the lines suggesting that the video showed an aircraft being hit in the air.

I agree, and was making a similar edit at the same time. Going by the reports last night, both the launch control and the appearance of the missiles show them to be anti-tank missiles. The explosion and fire occur on the ground - and it is a large fire, yet in the footage of the wreckage the grass is unburnt, suggesting that the plan exploded in mid-air and was not ablaze when it hit the ground.

I removed the reference to the Australian Servicemen and added the names of those released by the MOD. Also removed reference to the 'Special Forces' being on board as only the BBC's Mark Urban is making any reference to this has he he isn't giving any evidence for it.

I re-added the reference to the Australian man after discovering he was serving with British RAF 47 Sqdn Lyneham.

Dupe edit
