Talk:Python pops after eating gator
Misquoted?
editThis quote: "Encounters like that are almost never seen in the wild. ... And we here are, it's happened for the fourth time,"
seems like he meant to say "And here we are ..."
Did AP get the quote wrong, or is that what he really said? If the latter, then maybe it should have [sic] in the quote. Tmbg47 00:22, 6 October 2005 (UTC)
- Talkin' like Yoda, yo, the dude is. Don't change what people say. If you find the phrase does not contribute anything to the story, perhaps omit that section, to read: "Encounters like that are almost never seen in the wild. ... it's happened for the fourth time," 06:20, 6 October 2005 (UTC)
Title-body mismatch
editThe headline "Python pops after eating gator" is very eye-catching, but the story has basically nothing about exploding pythons. Either the title or the text needs to change, and I vote for the text. -- Phyzome is Tim McCormack 13:32, 6 October 2005 (UTC)
I'd say pop is appropriate, explode is not. A common expression (at least around here) after a big meal is saying you feel like you're going to pop.
