Talk:Protesters rally for a second time against Buffalo, N.Y. hotel proposal

Original reporting sections
editThis is an area that is still developing on Wikinews, but I'd like to talk about these "OR" sections. When an article contains original reporting based on the contributors personal observations and experiences, the community is trusting that contributor, because they are the source. It should be as easy as possible to "verify" a statement with the source. Considering this, I'd like to see a little more detail and formality in these sections on the talk page, and possibly a link to the user on Wikinews:Credential verification. How about something like: "This article contains original reporting by accredited Wikinews reporter Jason Safoutin.". Perhaps a template could be developed similar to the {{sources}} template? Just some thoughts. This serious of articles has been brilliant, Jason. - Borofkin 04:00, 27 March 2006 (UTC)

Fantastic series; question regarding Local news category?
editI agree with Borofkin that the series has been the best series I've seen on Wikinews. Isn't the local news category appropriate for these stories? does anyone feel it is not? I inserted it again but feel free to remove it if it does not belong for some reason. Neutralizer 13:03, 28 March 2006 (UTC)
