One sided

This article is very one sided. I am sure not all of Washington thinks there is going to be a civil war or that one exists. What about defense quotes from the President? There is only the nes of this new report in the 1st paragraph. The rest is basically blasting the US gov and does not give any defense to this report. Too one sided. worst than one sided

I think and most people around the world think civil war is burning in Ikaq for months. I am very surprised by this report. It's obvious that civil war is occuring just viewing tv or reading news, no? or i do not share the same definition for civil war : citizen of the same country figthing each other in the name of : (a god, a chief, a wealth, a bit of territory, ...)

exemple : Iraq government asked to raise the national flag everywhere, Kurds refuse because this old flag is represent to much blood.

How is considered a US state refusing to raise the US flag ?

The news is precisely that the understanding of the situation in evolving: a civil war was what France, Germany and other feared to be a likely the outcome of the invasion; when the situation started worsening, the so-called "Coalition of the Willing" started losing its leafs; then the former British ambassador to Iraq and two US generals used the term "civil" war to describe the situation.

Now we see that the actual words "civil war" are present in a report by the Pentagon as an institution -- an institution lead by Rumsfeld, who recently suggested that comparing the people who are worried about Iraq and those who tried to appease Hitler is accurate and tasteful.

This is quite obviously a milestone in the evolving of the rethorics regarding Iraq. Rama 09:19, 6 September 2006 (UTC)
