Looks good. I changed the title because old title was direct copy from source and was unclear on who the assassins were. Also, some facts on how many people died on each side of the battle and it's exact location within the Gaza Strip would be helpful. This story should also be put in context of the attempt by various factions to gain control of Palestine, with the major players being Hamas in the Gaza Strip and the Palestinian Authority in the West Bank. The title "Palestinians assassinate ex-security chief" seems misleading to me since it implies that the "Palestinian people" or "Palestinian government" were responsible for the attack when it was just a, admittedly fairly large, group of terrorists. --Deprifry 17:01, September 7, 2005 (UTC)
- Well, we could identify the specific terrorist group, but they have a long name and aren't known worldwide, so that might be even more confusing. Not mentioning who the assassins were at all would make everyone think it was Israel. So, this might be the best we can do.StuRat 18:49, 7 September 2005 (UTC)
- We could call the assassins "Palestinian terrorists..." or "Palestinian gunmen..." (if an assassination squad sent by a group that plants bombs in roads isn't considered to be a terrorist organization). Would either of those be better ? StuRat 18:57, 7 September 2005 (UTC)

- I think that's implied. That is, when a nation is mentioned once in a title, the remainder of the title is assumed to apply to that same nation, unless stated otherwise. If we didn't do this, we could get some very long and redundant titles, like "US victims in US city of New Orleans are evacuated by US soldiers to US military base in US state of Massachusetts". Also note that your suggestion doesn't explicitly list the nationality of the gunmen, so isn't an improvement. StuRat 19:15, 7 September 2005 (UTC)
