The article says "Lessing's parents currently reside in Bakhtaran, Iran". This may be incorrect.

Given that Lessing is 88 years old, her parents are almost certainly deceased. I cannot confirm this, however, if they bore Lessing when they were 16 years old, they would be 104 years old. Not impossible, but remarkable for them both to be still living.

The ctv.ca article reports that Lessing's parents "were living in what is now Bakhtaran, Iran"
