Bad hijab

edit

In Image:Women shiraz.jpg, one of them is not wearing socks. Both of them have their headscarves perched on their heads so that their hair is showing which can result in several minutes of coaching by the religious police -- minimally. Their clothes is also somewhat tight.

For an example of proper hijab see the wife of Khamenei or any other Iranian official.--Blivit 09:13, 30 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fatemeh Javadi's picture here is an example of the right hijab. Use Google Image to find more pictures of her.--Blivit 09:19, 30 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

have removed the image. pls find other suitable ones. i'm not in favour of the miniskirts one because it adds very little to the article. –Doldrums(talk) 09:23, 30 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Why do you think that it doesn't add to the article?--Steven Fruitsmaak (Reply) 13:08, 30 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
just to be clear, i'm talking about the miniskirt image in version of the article. all it does is illustrate (not very well) what a miniskirt is, and miniskirts are only brought up in the article in a two-year old comment. –Doldrums(talk) 13:37, 30 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
Aha! Well I've added the Image:Women shiraz.jpg, maybe the caption needs copyediting.--Steven Fruitsmaak (Reply) 13:43, 30 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
Much better caption now.--Steven Fruitsmaak (Reply) 14:24, 30 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Women’s lips were cut with razors

edit

Following the Islamic Revolution "women’s lips were cut with razors in public view to deter others." is true. --Blivit 14:59, 30 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

sorry for summarily removing the content. i'm not disputing its correctness. the linked-to copy of the book says it's an uncorrected copy of the manuscript. the book, from what i understand, is a compilation from blogs. i'd suggest that the information be attributed to a more reliable source (if common knowledge) or if that is not possible be attributed to this source. –Doldrums(talk) 15:02, 30 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
I just added REVOLUTIONARY DISINTEGRATION.--Blivit 15:07, 30 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
