The Buffalo Sabres break a 2 game losing streak, beating the Nashville Predators, 8-4. The San Jose Sharks climb up the Western Conference ladder by defeating the Columbus Blue Jackets, 4-2. The Minnesota Wild snap a 4 game losing streak by picking up a win against the Tampa Bay Lightning, 3-2. The Lightning drop their 5th straight game. Mats Sundin scored two goals to help the Toronto Maple Leafs beat the Florida Panthers in a shootout victory, 4-3. The Chicago Blackhawks beat the Phoenix Coyotes in a low scoring game in Chicago, 1-0. A pair of goals by Joe Sakic helped the Colorado Avalanche sneak by the Vancouver Canucks in a shootout, 3-2.
