Underlying illnesses
editI feel that somewhere in this article it should be mentioned that the three people who died in america already had severe underlying illnesses. it just feels relevant. --92.4.3.24 (talk) 23:49, 20 November 2009 (UTC)
WHO website
editThe WHO article about this mutation states that certain medications are still effective (oseltamivir and zanamivir). This completely contradicts the Wikinews article, also different mutations are mentioned. Snoxhall (talk) 01:35, 21 November 2009 (UTC)
Resistance
edit"mutation is resistant to current treatments for H1N1 such as tamiflu, oseltamivir and zanamivir". The mutations found so far are not resistant to zanamivir, but are resistant to oseltamivir (=tamiflu).
Title
edit"Mutated strain" is pretty meaningless as a headline. "Drug resistent swine flu spreads" would be a better headline. Also seen in Wales, by the way: [1] 87.115.68.241 (talk) 23:10, 21 November 2009 (UTC) (User:AndrewRT)
