Talk:Monster Pig killed by eleven-year old boy

Latest comment: 16 years ago by Markie

I was the author of the wikipedia article Monster Pig I picked up some of the information directly from that article. Would someone add the picture from the Wikipedia article to the Wikinews article, thank you.70.48.52.32 22:16, 26 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Register an account and check the license on the picture is compatible with us. An example would be wikipedia as an encyclopedia being allowed to "borrow" an image from a news source where we can't as we're in competition.
Other than that, the cquote usage needs to go. We have two templates, Template:QuoteLeft and corresponding QuoteRight.
I also noticed a broken link in the sources section, I'll take a look at that myself - it may be something that should be under == External links == --Brian McNeil / talk 22:44, 26 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
There are several more of the links should likely be moved to the ext. links section. Only dated news sources should be listed under == Sources ==. I've (probably clumsily - it's late) taken out a couple of the cquote templates but kept the material. Once the rest are gone I'd suggest trying out the above-mentioned template. With those you leave the text in the article and duplicate it in the template. This helps break up the text and gives your quote attention that - hopefully - makes people want to read the entire article. --Brian McNeil / talk 22:56, 26 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
The name of the article should be "Monster Pig" not "Monster pig" this is the name of the pig, and should be capitalized. 70.48.52.32 10:07, 27 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

What kind of gun is the kid holding in the picture? Is it the same one he used to shoot it? It seems too low quality for me to see. Kvn8907 15:35, 28 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

as said in the article it is a Smith & Wesson Model 500 and the pic is the best we could find. --MarkTalk 15:37, 28 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
