It's a copyright violation. I've emailed them again, but I suspect this will ultimately be deleted. - Borofkin 00:53, 16 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Original reporting edit

My name is Lynda Carson, and I wrote the story about the mass evictions taking place at the Oakland Housing Authority in California.

After doing my research, conducting interviews and collecting documents for this story, it became apparant that the documentation (leases) signed by the renters and staff of the Housing Authority, contradicted the Housing Authorities official position that these families never signed leases before moving into their units.

Indeed, these families did sign leases before moving into their public housing units, and as a result have been able to obtain legal representation to defend their rights to reside there.

I am an independant reporter/writer covering housing issues, for a number of publications. As a tenant's rights activist, I also do radio shows and speaking engagements to promote the needs of low-income renters to have access to decent, clean affordable housing.

Lynda Carson grew up in Wheaton Illinois, is a certified luthier, writer, and a housing & poverty activist.
