Talk:Man attempts to foil breathalyzer by eating feces
De-Wikified
editI understand "Ford" being removed for being irrelevant and de-wikifying "pickup truck" as fairly commonly understood but why de-wikify slightly vague legal terms like: "driving under the influence" and "impaired driving"? Also Ontario provincial highway 11 is a very well-known and important roadway in Canada, often called the longest street in the world. If we link to more info on cities, provinces, and countries, why not to a highway of prime significance? Oh and thanks for helping me learn the ropes here. DoubleBlue 06:13, 31 Mar 2005 (UTC)
- I may have over-done the dewikifying... In my opinion (and it's just mine, feel free to revert me!!) if the wiki links are particularly relevant to the article, they should be there. This article seemed to be focused on the feces eating, and the reason was the breathalyzer/blood alcohol level. I suspect the geography links should go as well, but I left 'em. It was just my judgement, nothing more. - Amgine 06:17, 31 Mar 2005 (UTC)]
- Amgine, thanks for another speedy and informative reply! I was wikifying anything that could lead to more interesting information as that is one of the things I like about wikipedia (i.e. following links and riding madly off in all directions) but I see your point about using it only for more info relevant to the article. No word on whether they cleaned the machine?
editBreathalizer machines aren't known for being the cleanest of equipment; any word on whether they tried to clean it after he used it?
