Related article states results would take 4-7 days, how come that is 2 days ago and we have confirmation now? --Brian McNeil / talk 20:46, 13 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

So they were off 2 days. I would rather have it sooner than later. But I don't know why it was so quick. Jason Safoutin 01:55, 14 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Great Work Jason edit

question edit

I could not find anything in the sources supporting

"Worldwide, at least 150 people have died from the disease, by consuming infected beef."

This sentence sounds quite suspicious to me, as far as I know it has not even been clearly established yet what the relation between mad cow and some human deseases are. Moreover, the sentense implies that humans have died of mad cow desease, which is certainly not correct. --vonbergm 23:20, 13 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Check sources in related Wikinews. Jason Safoutin 01:50, 14 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Thanks Jason. The source makes it a lot clearer saying that they did not die of BSE but "variant Creutzfeldt-Jakob". Also they make clear that the relation between BSE and vCJ has not been conclusively established by only saying that it is "linked" to BSE. I will make the appropriate changes in the article to reflect this. --vonbergm 03:43, 14 March 2006 (UTC)Reply
No problem :) I simply read the sentence wrong...thanks for catching that :) Jason Safoutin 17:05, 14 March 2006 (UTC)Reply
