Talk:Los Angeles Times launches editorial wiki
Not sure how or if to publish this. I think it's developed, but who knows? There's much more that could be added. Rhobite 05:02, 19 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- I think it's ready. For what it's worth, Jimbo and I spent some time building things out, moving some pages around, adding some help text. Eloquence also popped in as did NGerda. I have also had some email communication with the LATimes people. I don't want to do O.R. reporting on this though. -- IlyaHaykinson 17:39, 19 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- Yeah, I saw some familiar names when I was looking through the wiki. From the start it seemed like a half-baked idea. It doesn't seem like they committed enough administrative or editorial staff to keep the wiki running smoothly. There is also the question of whether an editorial can even work as a public wiki. Due to the lack of an objective standard such as NPOV, the editorial seemed to go in all directions at once. Maybe they should have picked a duller topic for their very first "wikitorial".
