Talk:Lebanon faces humanitarian crisis

This... http://english.aljazeera.net/NR/exeres/285B14DF-5EE4-4733-ACB4-F2EE55F3E0BA.htm may be extremely newsworthy - but it needs additional sources to be verified, because aljazeera reports from a muslim-POV. --82.141.54.242 16:14, 24 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Are you suggesting that Muslim point of view means you can tell lies witout backing them up with citable facts?

I guess a better wording for this could be: "This is from a news agency XXXXXX. Please check citations and references carefully, because this news agency is not reputable." or something like that.

Anyhow, I checked your link at AlJazeerra.net and it referred to AFP (Associated French Press).

I checked AFP's newest news from this conflict: [1]

By the way, does anyone know any weblogs from Lebanon that could tell first hand experiences? Is there any working Internet connection over there still? It seems like a lot of places might have trouble even getting water, electricity, medical treatment, medicines, and food.

I found following blogs from Lebanese: [2]

These blogs are NOT from Lebanese, I guess, but still talk this issue from a fresh point of view: [3] [4] [5]

About self censorship of the media covering this issue: [6]

Then again, can anyone find blogs from Israeli side? How much they have suffered from the rocket attacks?

This could be perhaps Israeli point of view blog: [7]

Choose your words carefully and stay civil.
Mr. Egeland appealed for both sides to put a halt to attacks and that "Hezbollah must stop this cowardly blending ... among women and children."
The article selectively quotes Mr. Engeland. This quote gives NPOV to the article as Mr. Engeland places responsibility of the humanitarian crisis both on Hezbollah and Israel. Ealturner 22:12, 27 July 2006 (UTC)Reply
