Talk:Lack of facts no hindrance to speculation about Google, Wikipedia

Does anyone seriously think this is newsworthy?! I doubt anyone outside of a handful of people care who or what hosts Wikipedia (ask your mum/sister/brother/son - are they interested?) Dan100 (Talk) 08:34, 16 Feb 2005 (UTC)

I think the role that both Google and Wikipedia play, combined with Google's market power both financially and in terms of user-base, makes this story worth running. I think it might serve better if it just stated the known facts and refuted any that had been claimed falsely rather than repeatedly trying to say there was no basis for the rumours. There is a basis, just as the article says, there is an offer on the table.
