Interesting question. We didn't actually say anything that wasn't true, but we did omit some information that was within the scope of what we intended to inform about, and we would have mentioned if it we'd known about it and instead we missed it. @DannyS712: Do you think it would be appropriate to add an {{update}} reference to the Northern Mariana Islands article? --Pi zero (talk) 02:02, 16 March 2020 (UTC)

I don't think an update tag make sense if we don't also explain that the next step of the campaign was in the Northern Mariana Islands, rather than the states listed. --DannyS712 (talk) 02:04, 16 March 2020 (UTC)

The above states the Democratic Party was to continue its primary season with elections in four states on March 17. Before those primaries, it also held caucuses in the Northern Mariana Islands on March 14.
 

That wording doesn't feel right to me; it makes it sound as if we were wrong. But not only was what we said true, in that the NCSL said what we said they said, but what they said was also true. It just wasn't complete (which is somewhat embarrassing for us, not so much for the NCSL since they have some legitimate claim to be concerned only with states, not territories). If I were writing a sentence of explanation, I'd say something like "In addition to the upcoming primary-season events mentioned above, the Democratic party also held caucuses in the Northern Marian Islands on March 14." But my first instinct would be not to say that either; I'd think the headline in the forward reference would suffice:

Approved this change as I think that it is not misleading. The last sentence of the article appears to be well attributed and sufficiently clear to not contradict the development, as I understand. Thank you! Gryllida (talk) 05:00, 16 March 2020 (UTC)
