editThe phrase "mandatory scheduled maintenance coducted per Boeing's recommendations" is sourced, although it may not appear to be. The AV Herald talks of Boeng's Service Letter, which goes through various bits and pieces that need done at the time of maintenance. It further asserts that the job was a C-Check, which is a major inspection performed each 12-18 months and mandated by international law.
