NPOV
editArticle is much too slanted towards what 1 side says about the event. Please use some other sources like [1][2][3] or in the arabic articles for npov. Neutralizer 19:51, 21 July 2006 (UTC)
- I will try to make some edits after work but in the meantime the article is too pov to be published. Neutralizer 00:22, 22 July 2006 (UTC)
stuff to add:
- 500000 people already displaced. [4]. "An estimated 500,000 people have fled their homes during a week of bombardment, UN agencies said, with many now sheltered in public buildings such as schools and community centres." ([5]UN press release)
- when did israel issue the warning? (so how much time do people have to get out?)
- how warned? (airdropped leaflets, press release), and do fleeing civilians have safe passage?

Lebanese citizens, assisted by pressure from the international community, cast off influence by Syria by popular vote only to experience interests as powerful, or more powerful, than the new form of government. The linkage of Hezbollah to Syria, and by way of Syria to Iran, where the intersts are anti-Israel, is not a new relationship to a neighboring nation. Rather an old and persevering clash.
This bit needs rewritten and sourced, I'd suggest digging up wikinews articles on the story and lifting sections from them for the background, that way you're already using NPOV material. Otherwise, as has been suggested elsewhere, limit to what, and what that is recent. --Brian McNeil / talk 08:40, 22 July 2006 (UTC)
- As suggested elsewhere... so what! You lift them, prove me wrong. -Edbrown05 08:50, 22 July 2006 (UTC)
