I’ve skimmed through the first few pages of the Constitution and there are references to sections but no mention of articles - see for example the Preliminary on page 20, which states “This section and...”. One of the sources also says Section 92 e.g. India Today. As for the "and", it appears to be an integral part of the name of the state. Green Giant (talk) 00:26, 21 June 2018 (UTC)

We don't necessarily stick to the "official" names and it is okay to drop "and" from the name. And FWIW, "जम्मू कश्मीर" is more commonly used in Hindi, as compared to "जम्मू और कश्मीर" (और means "and").

I wanted to cover the article when the alliance broke, but soon after the CM resigned -- the reason should be hinted in headline, if we can, that brings the uniqueness, after all. Plus, it is part of the focus.

For the record, the quasi-federal structure has "state" and the "centre", and it is used in textbooks, newspapers and the official documents. It is technically correct to use "centre". So when we say, in India's federal government, centre has more power, it means central government has more power, but "centre" by itself is okay.
