Talk:IRA assets worth 30 million pounds investigated

Why is an article about an Irish group, who's assets were seized by a british law enforcement agency, written in terms of USA currency? If the original story referred to some minor currency that no one would know the value of, I would agree with quoting the equivalence in a larger currency or two, but the UK pound is not an obscure currency. 85.28.66.218 20:41, 6 October 2005 (UTC)Reply

  • It's the most popular currency, is most likely the reason. However, as this is a contribution site - and free currency converters plague the 'net - it isn't hard to convert it to GBP and include it in the article :-). --Mrmiscellanious 20:44, 6 October 2005 (UTC)Reply

No assets have been confiscated. It is an investigation
