Talk:Hurricane Adrian strikes Central America Thursday night

New Article?

edit

I'm still trying to figure out the Wikinews way of doing things, but shouldn't this article have been split a bit chronologically? I had expected the "Adrian reaches hurricane-strength, will strike Central America tonight" article to be supplanted by a new article on the hurricane making landfall, not that it would be moved and a transformation to meet the new news begun. -- Cyrius 06:46, 20 May 2005 (UTC)Reply

New articles

Yes, a new article should have been created. In the future, if you see new developments, feel free to create a new article, linked on the Template:Developing stories, for new information or different angles/elements. - Amgine/talk 06:48, 20 May 2005 (UTC)Reply

Our own research?

edit

The article states:

Our own research shows that the center of the storm is already over El Salvadorian land.

Who is the 'our' mentioned? I've checked the sources as far as I'm able but don't speak Spanish. Laura Thomson 16:51, 20 May 2005 (UTC)Reply

<hmms> I think I know who added that section. Will try to find out. - Amgine/talk 16:56, 20 May 2005 (UTC)Reply
The contributor was NGerda, who was tracking the satellite photos as the center crossed the shoreline. NHC hadn't made the announcement at the time he needed to record the Audio Wikinews segment, and since he'd been doing the research he used that sentence. Hope that answers the question. - Amgine/talk 04:50, 21 May 2005 (UTC)Reply
