Anon text removed edit

I added a Reuters link and some information from the news article that suggested that Khodorkovsky was not a much loved figure and this was deleted. Why is this so? Why is the article trying to peddle sympathy for the oligarch?

The article's title indicates the article is reporting on the demonstration of support of Mikhail Khodorkovsky. However, your source and text may be relevent. Let me see where the article is, and if it can be restored. - Amgine/talk 23:14, 18 May 2005 (UTC)Reply

Original reporting notes edit

I (User:Grue) was right in the middle of the events, with only Flash MP3 player in my pocket. The idea came to me that recording the chants may be a good idea. I apologize for poor quality of the sound and all the POV in the article. Grue 12:11, 16 May 2005 (UTC)Reply

You have written that there were thousands of people. Other sources speak about 200 people (they might be wrong). Can you give us an estimated number ? --SonicR 12:57, 16 May 2005 (UTC)Reply
I think there was at least one thousand. It's probably better to rename it to "hundreds" just to be sure... Grue 13:38, 16 May 2005 (UTC)Reply
I am Russian and I for one and glad that this monster will be placed behind bars. He made billions at the expense of the Russian people due to his ties with corrupt officials.

NPOV dispute edit

Could someone explain the NPOV dispute please? It would be nice to know where to begin working to bring this toward NPOV so it may be published again. - Amgine/talk 17:21, 16 May 2005 (UTC)Reply

I have yet to see another source that verifies this event. It is extremely in favor of the oligarch, a much hated figure in Russia due to his despotic business practices.

Who is... edit

Who is Mikhail Khodorkovsky, what is he on trial for, and why has this trial gained such public attention?

These are things that any news story like this should include, but this one does not. There should be no assumption that readers have been following the story since the beginning; sufficient context to allow a reader to understand the story's basic significance should always be provided.
