Original reportingEdit

I have seen the original YouTube video. I saw the view count reaching over 11.5 million and the upload date of January 3, 2011. --Rayboy8 (my talk) (my contributions) 21:53, 6 January 2011 (UTC)

  • Whilst I'm sympathetic to moves to remove the OR template, the fact remains that this is not in the sources. Claiming only the cited sources were used would therefore be inappropriate and misleading. I dislike the automatic categorisation of such articles as OR, and, as I have commented in a previous example, I'd be very supportative of moves to find some flavour of mid-ground template. • I'd just link to the video and take it as a source. End of the problem Diego Grez return fire 18:12, 9 January 2011 (UTC)
      • The video's gone. That's the problem. Blood Red Sandman (Talk) (Contribs) 19:15, 9 January 2011 (UTC)
        • I'd definitely support the creation of a middle ground template. This isn't OR, but he wasn't wrong to use the OR template, because currently that's our catch-all template for "not in the sources". I've wanted another template to fill the void between regular synthesis and full blown OR since almost the day I joined the project. Gopher65talk 23:09, 9 January 2011 (UTC)
