Comments by reviewer: You would do well to give a little background on what this thing is so people don't have to go to WP for basic background. My biggest issue, though, is the opening sentence. First, "tripled" or "trebled" would be better grammar, second, what data are you comparing it to? Triplicated form what? Last year? Last month? Last quarter? advert
editThis "news" article reads too much like an advertisement. Describing handsets as outstanding is not NPOV, nor is listing other available handsets appropriate. Title needs fixing to reflect it's not talking worldwide sales, just the UK, and instead of "this year", use "in 2010" so it's not ambiguous as to if you mean only 2010, or the last 12 months. That's as well as the issues already mentioned above by others. -- Matthewedwards (on the phone, not logged in) -- 69.78.70.150 (talk) 04:27, 27 July 2010 (UTC)
"Triplicated"
editWhat an abuse of English. "In triplicate" would be where you have three copies of a certain piece of paperwork. It has nothing to do with something being trebled. --Brian McNeil / talk 04:55, 27 July 2010 (UTC)
- Well according to Wiktionary, "triplicate" can also just mean to triple. It seems a pretty silly use of it to me though, when "tripled" or "trebled" works just fine. Personally I think we should find more excuses to use "sesquiplicate" - multiplied by one and a half. the wub "?!" 17:50, 27 July 2010 (UTC)
