"100 volumes of about 800 pages each," sign me up! (oops, I don't read German!) -Edbrown05 07:56, 28 January 2006 (UTC)Reply
I have to wonder at this Der Spiegel notion. Hot off the press has lost meaning with the internet "revolution" (right term?). -Edbrown05 08:07, 28 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hmm, that raises a question though: Is it okay to sell something which is intended to be given away for free, for prices beyond the material costs? And if there is a company trying to profit from information intended to be free for the masses, by the masses, does that conflict with any licensing/copywrite agreements of wikipedia?

It boosts the level of trust in Wikimedia and its projects. "If people are willing to pay for it, then it must be good enough for me to take for free." Wikipedia's license purposely leaves such for-profit wide open. We essentially want as much of our content out there, we don't care how. -- user:zanimum
