Original reporting
editIf this article contains original reporting then the person who did the reporting should place a note on this talk page explaining what information is original, and what they did to obtain it (e.g. observed flooding, took pictures, spoke to people on phone, had to swim to work, etc). - Borofkin 23:06, 21 December 2005 (UTC)

- There's plenty flooding in the south of Thailand, I believe it has been responsible for the reduction in insurgency activity in the area. See:
- Thai News Agency. "Thaksin orders maximum flood response to save Hat Yai's key commercial zone" — MCOT, December 19, 2005
- "Flooding in southern Thailand leaves 14 dead" — Bangkok Post, December 19, 2005
- "Southern flood claims 27 lives, thousands stranded" — The Nation (Thailand), December 19, 2005
It's hitting the north of Malaysia too,
- "Three die, thousands evacuated in Malaysian floods" — Bangkok Post, December 19, 2005
