Background on Kelso

I left this out as I haven't looked for sources and it may be POV. As someone who lives here, I can say that Kelso has it's problems. The parts of Kelso which suffer from crime problems are generally in the areas which are made up almost entirely of government housing properties. The people who live in these houses are often unemployed, on low-incomes (living on government benefits), have drug and alcohol problems and are poorly educated. Despite calls from residents for something to be done, these fall on deaf ears. To many it seems as though they are being ignored and forgotten.

This would have been nice to include as some background, but I think it is probably too POV - Cartman02au (Talk)(AU Portal) 07:34, 27 February 2006 (UTC)
