Weather is news. Karen 14:48, 7 October 2005 (UTC)Reply

I have to say, while this isn't really a wikinews suitable event,it is really notable down here for the locals. 24.153.227.130 15:15, 7 October 2005 (UTC)Reply

The 2005 hurricane season is nearly over. Less heat and humidity will be very refreshing. Enjoy! Karen 15:30, 7 October 2005 (UTC)Reply
Wikinews goal is to cover all news including local news --Cspurrier 15:36, 7 October 2005 (UTC)Reply
Can you imagine the flood of information if all Wikinews users around the world made an article about what the weather is like? - 85.76.225.44 16:32, 7 October 2005 (UTC)Reply
It would be great, of course at this point we would no longer be able to publish them all on the main page, but on local portal pages --Cspurrier 16:55, 7 October 2005 (UTC)Reply
That's how I'm seeing it (as Cspurrier said). I don't categorize any of my "local" articles as international or united_states. And I also think it would be great to have more local info. I'm sure the sysops will deal with it when there's, God willing, enough that it starts to overwhelm the main page. Jordanmills 19:02, 7 October 2005 (UTC)Reply
It's night here in England right now. Is that news? It's autumn/fall in the northern hemisphere right now. It's spring in the southern hemisphere. Everyone should know this. This is not news in any way. Keith 21:34, 7 October 2005 (UTC)Reply
The first cold snap of the year is local news. I'm sure that, for any given topic, you can find someone who doesn't care about it. That doesn't mean it shouldn't be on here. Jordanmills 02:57, 8 October 2005 (UTC)Reply
