Talk:Executives from IT industry focus on 10-year anniversary of Microsoft Research Asia

OR edit

Recent 2 days, I went two press conferences and participated some related activities to finish this article. Met with several executives, they gave me some comments on Hung's backhoming. Brock contact... 08:10, 30 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Not ready for publish yet edit

  1. Title of the article itself is grammatically incorrect. Cirt - (talk) 14:10, 2 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

  2. The article is basically a series of long quotes, just strung together. Cirt - (talk) 14:10, 2 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
Nothing wrong with that if the article puts enough background in. Since I was not there, I cannot make progress on that. DragonFire1024 (Talk to the Dragon) 00:42, 3 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
  3. Second sentence, of first paragraph, and also the other 2 paragraphs which are not quotes also need edits for readability. Cirt - (talk) 14:10, 2 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
      Done I think. DragonFire1024 (Talk to the Dragon) 00:42, 3 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
  4. Should not start a paragraph with "By the way..." Cirt - (talk) 14:10, 2 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

These are just a few examples of problems with the article and why it is not ready to be published in its current state. Cirt - (talk) 14:10, 2 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Another minor point edit

Hung also invited several academical elites and executive panels like Ovid Tseng (Principal of University System of Taiwan), George Chen (Deputy Principal of National Taiwan University), Davis Tsai (General Manager of Microsoft Taiwan), and Hsi-peng Lu (Director of Student Affairs of National Taiwan University of Science and Technology). They reviewed the collaboration between academical units in an academical executive panel. Thereafter, Hung will sign an MoU with ITRI for the future academical collaborations.

I could be wrong here, but is "academical" a word? If so, is this appropriate usage? I also think this paragraph could use copyediting, would appreciate another set of eyes on it. Cirt - (talk) 00:56, 3 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Title edit

"Microsoft Research Asia" is the OFFICIAL NAME in Microsoft as the respective of Microsoft Taiwan notified to me, if added "in", they may misunderstood its proper name in official. Brock contact... 06:37, 3 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

First paragraph is one long sentence, awkward wording edit

This should be addressed. Cirt - (talk) 21:07, 3 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
