I could not find information in any of the sources listed, including the Spanish ones, to support the following claim:
"This incident comes a day after more than 50 basques (journalists, writers, ecologists, teachers, lawyers and other profesionals) were imprisoned by the Spanish police accused of supporting ETA's independentist ideas." Maybe I missed it? --Jcart1534 20:37, 1 December 2007 (UTC)

The imprisonment of 50 basques accused of support ETA's ideology has been widely recorded by the Spanish and Basque media, but no by the international ones (for example, in the newspaper El Pais and in the Basque Gara Someone can think that this has nothing to do with the shooting, so perhaps we should remove this paragraph. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by (talkcontribs) 21:08, 1 December 2007
