I think Wiki news need to stick to report REAL news and leave these stupid stories for the tabloid newspapers—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 71.251.191.69 (talkcontribs) 15:56, 22 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Then add some "real news" and quit complaining about it. If there's something you'd rather see, write it. irid:t 20:59, 22 August 2007 (UTC)Reply
anyway, does wikinews have some notability guidelines?? This would fail some. --TheFEARgod 21:13, 22 August 2007 (UTC)Reply
Wikinews currently has no notability guidlines; on the contrary, we're struggling for stories, and if someone wants to write a piece about, say, something local to them, they can, helping boost our currently rather meagre crop. Perhaps one day notability discusions may have to be taken to WN:DR, and hashed out in borderline cases, but for now, anything goes. We do need stories, but we are not desperate...news is news. If it meets our style guide and etc then its news. DragonFire1024 (Talk to the Dragon) 21:27, 22 August 2007 (UTC)Reply
