Talk:Crash kills Indy driver Paul Dana

Rename: "IRL" "Indy"

edit

"IRL" is the international code for "Ireland". It is generally displayed on Irish vehicles when they are being driven outside of the country, so the confusion is obvious. "Indy" is the best replacement I could think of, but maybe it can be improved on. Bill3 10:41, 27 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Use of today

edit

Be careful when using the word "today" to describe when the action took place. If the story is dated the day of the event, then redated the day it was written (the next day), then "today" changes meaning. It's especally confusing with a statment such as "Indy Racing League (IRL) driver Paul Dana died Sunday afternoon, following injuries sustained earlier today…." Karen 22:18, 27 March 2006 (UTC)Reply
