The proclamation aired on television to report that Butt asked for Corner Gas Day to be declared a stat holiday at least for service station attendants. The news was aired throughout the day, on April 6, at various times featuring the proclamation signing. The Corner Gas episode featuring Premier Brad Wall was also aired, both on CTV. The citations listed do declare the joke about the stat holiday in general, but not the narrowed down joke about service station attendants. ...Butt asks...Is this going to be a stat holiday. Wall replies I dont thinks so...Butt responds I think it should be for anybody who works in a gas station. Somewhere there must be a TV schedule about both the news and Corner Gas episode featuring Brad Wall being on the same night. There is a citation for the Corner Gas website saying that the episode Get the F Off my Lawn aired on Monday April 6, the same day as the proclamation was signed. So this is the reason why "original reporting" is declared.... All other items of the article are a paraphrase in my own words and conglomeration of the events reported for the proclamation day.SriMesh | talk 04:48, 7 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Corner Gas edit

Could the explanation of what Corner Gas is, be moved to the first paragraph. This article is utter nonsense to someone who doesn't know the show. --216.75.93.110 13:09, 7 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Sorry about that, the show is very famous in Saskatchewan and across most of Canada, and in 26 countries worlwide. Changed title from "Saskatchewan proclaims "Corner Gas Day" to be April 13, 2009" to be more international. As well as revised initial paragraph to be more definitive about why the day was proclaimed.SriMesh | talk 18:59, 7 April 2009 (UTC)Reply
