It should have interwiki links to wikipedia in the article, at the least. Lyellin 18:10, 22 Nov 2004 (UTC)

Factual and well written I think. --119 19:11, 22 Nov 2004 (UTC)

Well-written and relatively factual. I took out the misleading part about BG and RO being heavily indebted. That is simply not true. Ronline 08:10, 23 Nov 2004 (UTC)

  • It is true and not at all misleading. Perhaps they don't owe as much as some other nations in absolute terms, but relative to their own economies, their debt is quite large. If Bill Gates owed someone $200,000 you wouldn't call him "heavily indebted"--because that's nothing for him. On the other hand, if it was me owing someone $200,000, you're damn right I'd be "heavily indebted".Kurt Weber 16:29, 23 Nov 2004 (UTC)

The article itself is distinctly misleading. It ignores Iraq's non-Paris club debts entirely, which are twice as large. It ignores the reality that the debts had no immediate change to be paid off, and the headline claims that the debt is forgiven, when the remaining Paris Club debt equals one whole year of the new Iraq's GDP. See: Reuters for information about the other debt.

  • Non-Paris club debts are ignored because they're not part of the story. And the title does not claim that the entire debt is forgiven--only the bulk of it, which is distinctly true. Kurt Weber 19:30, 1 Dec 2004 (UTC)

Well written. Should be passed. Cap'n Refsmmat 23:03, 29 Nov 2004 (UTC)
