Lost Interview No. 1

This interview was conducted back in November 2007 by telephone, Billy West in Los Angeles and David Shankbone in New York. This is one of three interviews that are part of the "Lost Interviews" - a disk they were saved on corrupted and it has taken this long to figure out how to extract them back to create the transcripts. Congratulations on another great interview. I do have one question/concern. It is in regard to this question/statement:

DS: It’s confusing because you look like somebody like Dick Cheney, who has this lesbian daughter, who’s in a gay marriage and now has a baby with her partner, and you just don’t know how the situation exists. It’s hard to comprehend. That Mary Cheney exists in the Republican party, and that she seems to be fine with that existence and even works for it.

Mary Cheney's WP page does not seem to reflect that she is married. Yes, she is in a long-term relationship with Heather Poe, but where do you get that she is in a marriage, whether legal or just ceremonial? I just don't see that anywhere on the interwebs. I hesitate to just remove it, since, afterall, that is what you said in the interview. Should some sort of clarification be made or should it be stricken? You could be right - I didn't think anything of it and thought I heard they had some kind of ceremony, but it appears they didn't. Cowed mother

Did Billy West refer to his mother as "cowed" or did the interviewer? Used as an adjective, as to describe the mother, as this article does, is insulting. I know he had a rough childhood, but in the interview he does not speak negatively against his mother. His father was the abuser.65.189.44.222 05:03, 18 May 2008 (UTC)

Cowed is defined as "frightened into submission" or "intimidated." To me it seems apt, and non-insulting.--Sketchmoose - 63.118.20.194 15:41, 21 October 2008 (UTC)

Edit Request - Typos

• Not done — This is not an error, just an odd grammatical practise in English. "He went in in the middle of the night" is equivalent to "He went into the room in the middle of the night". Gopher65_talk 02:13, 7 March 2009 (UTC)
