I used to think Aussies had balls; ah, but we used to have them too. Those were the days,my friend. Neutralizer 14:35, 25 October 2005 (UTC)Reply

Australia never had balls

edit

i was going to say that i agree, Australia used to have balls. but upon recent research i have found that for many years now Australia has been nothing more than a puppet for the Washington Administration. Prime minster John Howard seems to enjoy nothing more than cosying up to George W. Bush. In early 2004 Australia signed up to the Washington Administations weapons defence system. Australia whillingly sent troops to Vietnam. We have been there for the U.S. every step of the way....

You're right. As a Kiwi and also a SE-Asian I've known that for a long. Australia has always mistakenly thought they could be the US's big buddy South East Asian policeman unfortunetely they don't seem to realise SEA don't want them or the US, and are not going to stand for their excessive interference. Nor do they realise that the US doesn't see them as anymore then another pawn which will be thrown away without a seconds thought when no longer useful.
I mean this is the same Australian public who didn't seem to care one single bit that Johnny boy outright lied to them in the 2001 election about immigrants throwing children off boats. I'm also quite surprised how happy/excited most Aussies (and to be fair, Kiwis) are with the FTA which gives a lot to the US, but ignores the things that matter to Australia like agriculture. Seeing that I'm not an instinctual contrarian, I have thick skin and I'm not deeply offended by immature comments about my home.
