I've contacted all the candidates standing in the Daly by-election using their contact info here. Connop responded to me tonight (and it is a bit late here, so apologies if there are any errors on my part) and I've forwarded the email onto scoop. Plan to follow up via phone tomorrow with the other three candidates. Also I'm a bit reticent about including his perjury charge, but it does seem important to readers, and it doesn't seem like I'm misrepresenting anything here, just reporting the facts. --LivelyRatification (talk) 12:26, 31 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

Another issue - mob is Australian slang, but I don't want to make it seem like he's insinuating that the other candidates are, say, mafia-linked, so I've linked to Wikitionary. Is that clear enough? --LivelyRatification (talk) 12:28, 31 August 2021 (UTC)Reply
Just to confirm I’ve received the emailed answers and they are accurately reproduced in the draft with obvious adaptations such as the link for the local meaning of "mob". If the perjury is a matter of public record and it was quite recent, there is nothing unethical in reporting it. Excluding it would suggest a breach of NPOV.
