flag?

edit

why was the flag posted. doesn't seem to be related to the article from what I can see.

Well, it's a story about Argentina, this is the flag of Argentina so I thought a little color would help the article. We actually do this quite often when no image is available. --Deprifry|+T+ 21:55, 28 December 2005 (UTC)Reply
Please link me some articles with pictures of the U.S. flag when the article is unrelated to the flag. thanks. --MateoP 22:05, 28 December 2005 (UTC)Reply
United States helped Kyrgyz pro-democracy programs. Are you suspecting an evil eurocentric agenda at everything now? --Deprifry|+T+ 22:09, 28 December 2005 (UTC)Reply
  • Might I suggest swapping the flag for a chart of the exchange rate? It's slightly more appropriate, and makes the article look like it came from the business desk. Check Image:Exchange_rate_Wechselkurs_USDollar_arg_Peso_04_12_2001_bis_27_07_2005.png in the Commons. If someone can come up with a picture/graph of Argentina's debt (I don't know what "deuda extranjera" would translates into in English) since the Menem/Cavallo-era of the early-to-mid 1990s, that'd be the best. -- NeoAmsterdam 22:57, 28 December 2005 (UTC)Reply
Good idea. And "deuda extranjera" is external debt, learned that in my first Spanish year :). --Deprifry|+T+ 23:02, 28 December 2005 (UTC)Reply
Perhaps this one.

Or how about this one. It a little longer than since 1990 but still impressive. --Deprifry|+T+ 23:13, 28 December 2005 (UTC)Reply
Believe the current one is most appropriate as the longer one shows several periods of the Argentine economy, such as the debt crisis of the early 80s. The current one better relates the article. --MateoP 23:25, 28 December 2005 (UTC)Reply
Having lived in Argentina so long I forgot if it was "external" or "foreign" debt. The chart looks excellent -- NeoAmsterdam 13:42, 29 December 2005 (UTC)Reply
