Title sequence

There's only one slight omission in the article. The title sequence was changed slightly at the debut of the 2nd season (1990-1991), and it's that sequence which has been in use until this first HD episode. If we really want to nit-pick, there was only one episode to actually air in 1989, "Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire", which had virtually no title sequence at all. The first episode to air with a real sequence was already in 1990, "Bart the Genius". Honestly this can't be considered real news. I'm glad of course The Simpsons is in high definition (hoping Family Guy follows in the same direction!) but really, I don't get how this can be group in the same news caliber as Thousands fleeing after a volcano erupts in Colombia or a japanese tanker MV Chemstar Venus freed by Somali pirates —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.99.50.238 (talk) 22:03, 15 February 2009 (UTC)

It's not "headline" news, but it is real, the kind of entertainment news you might find later in the news broadcast. Google news shows a number of news outlets carrying the story. GeorgeII (talk) 22:37, 15 February 2009 (UTC)
