I think the colour of the sitenotice is to striking, now. Perhaps another colour might be better. --SonicR 11:03, 8 September 2005 (UTC)

Error 404

The site notice containing phrase "Wikinews Contest" has been addressed to [1], while you click on it. It shows error 404. I do not know how did it come because previosly it was working properly. Does Mediawiki address to differnt link than other namespaces when we use [[LINK]]. Please someone correct it. Thank you, Shyam ^(T/C) 20:02, 7 November 2006 (UTC)

Wow, I had written up a comment about adding the wikimania registration information to the sitenotice, but left the house before saving it, and lo and behold, it was already done when I returned!
