On Monday, former film producer Harvey Weinstein was hospitalized at Bellevue Hospital in Manhattan following the results of a blood test, which were described by his lawyers as "alarming." According to Imran Ansari, his attorney, the 72-year-old is to stay at the hospital "until his condition stabilizes."

Attorney Imran Ansari also accused jailers at Rikers Island in New York of medical mistreatment of Weinstein, who has been incarcerated there awaiting a retrial on sex crimes charges, which he denies.

Weinstein has been previously diagnosed with leukemia.
