My personal opinion is that it is directly released by google to be used in news articles by the likes of people like us, and therefor is okay. (Of course i have no idea if my opinion is supported by policy). Bawolff 00:29, 1 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
Regardless of how it is made available, this is still a copyrighted image and as such under fair use we must use a low resolution. This image should be resized or a smaller size obtained which is only as large as is required on articles. Adambro 00:37, 1 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
Google’s logo is below threshold of originality and is under public domain. It is PD-Text-Logo and note that fonts don’t have copyright in the US (Google’s home country)
