Summary

Description
English: Ameren power demonstration - 1700 volts hitting a grounded hotdog. The hotdog is held near the overhead wire of an electric railway, in the jaws of a fiberglass grounding stick which is attached to the rail below, which serves as the ground conductor for the system. The hotdog serves as a human analog, illustrating the severe shock which could be received by touching the wire.
