DescriptionBournemouth, new JobCentre - geograph.org.uk - 615840.jpg
English: Bournemouth: new JobCentre This purpose built JobCentre opened on Monday 10 December 2007. It is on the inner curve of Cotlands Road.
Originally on this site was a handsome Victorian terrace of three-storey houses (with a further basement with external steps leading down to the basement entrance), and was used at the poignant end of an episode of the television sitcom 'One Foot in the Grave'. These too gracefully matched the arc of the road, but were demolished in the mid-1990s and the site became a car park for one of the neighbouring offices until the early part of 2007, when building work commenced on the JobCentre that you see now.
