Comments:Video hosting website Stage6 to shut down

- See, if you don't read into it at all, it's "just another" streaming video website.
- This, however, was handled through DivX, which has its own claim to fame, and lots of people actually did use this service in conjunction with or in lieu of YouTube (as in, sometimes orders of magnitude "better" than your average YouTube video (for certain definitions of "better," and orders of magnitude)).
- That said, it seems they didn't really answer their own question as to why they're shutting down... and, of course, some are none too happy about being given "only" 3 days notice. I've had an account on the site since it first opened. This shutdown is surprising and saddening.
