He's absolutely right. All of the priests are men, so there is an obvious link between their homosexuality and these particular abuse cases involving boys. Some people don't like to accept reality. Do you really want gay men around your pre/teen boys? No. Secondly, why are people in the church, including parents, leaving priests alone with young boys in the first place?

Homophobia is not acceptable anymore. You must learn this.

At this very moment the Catholic church faces a crisis that they are keeping quiet: the church just isn't getting any bigger! There aren't enough new priest, especially in more socially developed countries, congregations are not increasing, and more and more the catholic church has to watch an increase in Islam and Atheism. The last thing the Catholic Church should be doing right now is incriminating themselves even further by making disgusting comments like this! They need more supporters not more enemies!

Effeminate altar boys who can be substituted for girls are often sodomized by heterosexual priests who find it difficult to form a secretive relationship with an adult female. Effeminate boys mixed in with an adult prison population would also be abused. The French Foreign Legion was famous for sexually abusing their water boys. It is true that a few homosexuals priests share the guilt, but most have enough sexual contact with adults.

You might think a claim like that lacks evidence, but the catholic church would have quite a convenient sample size to work with. Maybe he would know about gay pedophilia.

then how come there arent any normal homosexual relationships between priests? They only touch the boys, not other priests. The Catholic Church is only digging its own grave by saying these things instead of admitting theres something really wrong and that its their own fault. Im Dutch, and nearly everyday more stories pop up here on abused children in Catholic schools by priests. Its shocking how widespread this abuse is.

Homosexuality will prevent you from the desire to have sex with the opposite sex but celebacy WILL NOT prevent you from the desire to have sex full stop.

They bang kids because they want to bang something, anything, and kids can be controlled and manipulated to keep silent and feel guilty. They wish they could get regular sex with a prostitutes, but that costs money, whereas banging kids earns them money.

If the Catholic Church gave a rat's ass about the "flock", they'd lift the celibacy restriction for the entire clergy, including the pope. St. Peter had a wife, but I don't know why I even bring this up, since Catholics think that their superstitions must always supersede the rational thought, whenever the two are in conflict.

You would think after all these years that the Vatican would be better at this.

Scenario: "What's that? We've been personally responsible for allowing children to be horribly abused for decades by enabling their abusers? We've been denying the problem even exists until it is so large and so many people have been hurt that it is no longer deniable? We've been doing almost nothing to actually curtail the abuse other than simply moving the offenders into positions where they can easily re-offend? Oh... uh.... um.....
